Hello to 2009, the year with all possible problems in God's beautiful world.
Sick and Old WORLD
* Never ending stories and bloodshed in Palestine and yet more innocent souls to be suffered, tortured and killed by the Israelis.* The world economic crisis. And the economists think that this year, the economy is going to be *&%$#%^*!
* Global warming and more illogical environmental problems all around the world. Flood, land-slide, snow wind, hurricane, massive earth quake. I think our mother earth is getting sicker and sicker.
Our small Malaysia & rainy season
* We've been and stayed in shocked for few weeks according to land-slide tragedies. All of us waited and focused to the issues and many rumors had been flowed all over the country.
* This first week of 2009 has marked and made us attached to the latest news about the second phase of flood that is attacking the east coast.
* Tonight's news has highlighted some tragic accidents and increased the number of victims that died in the tragedies. A very sorrow and unbelievably painful for the ones who loss their families. Some say that the drivers are careless. Some say because of the rainy season. Whatever it is, we cannot bring those people back to life.
* The seat belt issues. Why on earth should we argue and fight among us about this? Oh come on, the authorities love us so much and is it too hard to follow? Let's put aside some problems that big families with many kids would face. They want to see our children to grow up healthily and be champions one day. For those who just got married, make sure you don't breed your new you more than 3. hehehe. kidding. Anyway, we are trying to improve ourselves a step higher to be extra careful and appreciate life more.
BUT...
I think there is no use if we wear the seat belt in front and at the back but we drive our car with full speed like crazy, we might kill ourselves and other passengers, no?
Ok. Consider that 110 kph is the max speed on the road in this country, but why is our national car speeding meter is up until 240 kph. (correct me if I'm wrong) It has been made to satisfy us while driving with good pleasure right? But only if you are a good driver and you can perfectly control your speeding level. But still, by rights you may get a ticket if you break the speed limit. But if you are a VIP or VVIP or you are nobody but you are so damn rich and you can buy the VVIP logo one, you will not get any tickets.
hurm............ Am I confusing you? Cos, me myself is so confused right now.
Ok. ok. Let's conbine the speeding limits and the seat belt stuff and look at our hi-way situation, specifically LPT hi-way.
Imagine this situation, a family of five, Daddy, Mommy, Tommy, Timmy and Tammy are on their way back from KL to their kampong in Kuantan. All of them wear the seat belt and Daddy is following the speed limit. Oh, Daddy is driving a four-wheel drive vehicle. Daddy is a very particular and a wise man. He always stays alert and make precaution when he's driving. Rationally, we will think that this family will arrive safely to their village but they are not quite happy with the journey.
Why? Because,
- Daddy thinks that LPT hi-way is too young (3-4 years after it was launched) to get repaired. There were so many holes here and there aloongggggg the way from KL to Kuantan.
- Since Daddy drives a four-wheel-drive, this thing is a little bit high or should I say taller than other cars. It should be a pleasant journey but this long straight hi-way is bumpy and a little bit slippery at some places. Daddy feels nervous especially when it rains even when he is driving at 80kph. Plus, the bumpy-mumpy spots are around the angin-lintang areas.(crossed wind?) hmmmm
- And as far as Daddy can remember, that all this hi-way users have to share the same one way road that got 2 lanes but it became 1 lane for both direction for about 1km and there were at least 5 places that were under construction from KL to Kuantan . How funny is that?
With small mistakes from Daddy, either he's not paying attention to his driving or the road is trying to kill his family, there is 60% possibilities that accident may happened. (I made up the %)
Anyway,
My humble opinion think that plz plz plz don't just blame the drivers saying that they are being careless, did not follow the rules and bla bla bla. THEY DO LOVE THEMSELVES. But plz plz plz look at the road that the authorities should build with extra focus because thousands of lives are using the road, not only hi-ways, and not by just look at the extra lonesome that they'll get for the project.
O oo. I don' know what I'm talking about rite now.
I'm not saying that they aren't been honest towards us and do their job for granted, but do you get my point here?
Arghh....
p/s: Dear friends and people that I love, plz drive your car or ride your motorbike with hyper careful during this unexpected rainy season because our eyes are not like cats' eyes. For God's sake, I don't want to lose you guys.
