Baby : 12 weeks and 4 days

While memories are still fresh...

We went for monthly check up this morning. The clinic has moved to a new building, big and nice building. Yey-ness for that! :)

Takde la sesak dgn orang ramai mcm selalu dekat klinik lama and we didn't have to wait in long queue. As usual, kena bg sample air kencing and it took us a while for the result to come out before we can see the gynae. As for today, we met a new female doc, nice and sweet. Terkejut jugak sebab mula-mula dia trus tanya family ada kencing manis ke tak. Sebab gula dalam darah is quite high. Blood pressure pun quite high jugak. Gulp!

She asked, ada makan manis-manis ke? I said baru lepas breakfast, trus dtg sini. huhu
Kena observe la ni... Selang sehari lagi kena check lagi tekanan darah. I was like, oh ooo...

Ingat-ingat balik mmg la tak berapa nak sehat this week punye diet. yelah, since balik from Perlis last week tu, baru la ada tenaga and selera nak makan banyak (walaupun lepas makan je trus mengulor...takleh gerak macam ular) huhuhu...

Sun- Tiba-tiba teringin sgt nak makan megi. Kiman masak 2 bungkus tp perencah letak 1 je. Mild curry, sedap jugak!
Mon- Dinner makan nasi air kedai Siam. Mmg la masin kan tapinye sedapp..
Tues- Dinner @ Mc D. Makan chicken porridge je + ribena + french fries.
Wed- Late lunch @ KFC. Toasted twister + Milo
Thur - Before pegi check up breakfast kat Old Town. Western meal + choco drink.

Haa kau. Mana gula tak naik. Protein pun agak tinggi. Time camni la gula nak naik. Doc kata kena observe betul-betul ni. Kurangkan gula + garam sket ye time makan. Alahai, baru skrg la selera nak makan mcm2 + plus muntah pun dah kurang. Cuma kadang2 rasa penat je badan. Tapi tu biasala kan.

Here comes the most exciting part for monthly check up, Scanning the baby!

Baby is getting bigger day by day! We saw its head, arms and legs. Ingat tak last week I citer nampak baby swimming dgn tunas kaki tangan je kan? This week, we can clearly see its legs! Dah nampak tulang peha and betis. Too bad baby mcm menghadap scanner. So tak dpt accurate measurement la. Macam dia pandang atas la kira + gerak-gerak. Baby senyum kat mama papa ye. Pandai nye anak mama ni.... Its spine looks fine, jantung dub dab laju. Alhamdulillah. Happy sangat. :)

Sorry baby kalau mama neglected you in first trimester ni. Bukan taknak amik susu and all those vits tapi kalau makan mmg muntah balik. Ni tadi dapat free sample and Ma rasa Ma suke la rasa susu tu. Nanti kita mintak Papa beli satu tin ok. Ma pun dah nak start smula dgn Vits yg doc bagi. Kesian baby. Punyalah struggle nak cepat besar kannn.. Ma sorry k.

Skrg Papa suka ckp dgn baby kan. Pa slalu ckp Pa sayang baby lebih dari Mama. Sebenarnye Papa tak tahu rahsia kita kan baby kan. Kita ckp dari hati ke hati je. Biar Pa jeles tak tau kite cerita ape kannn... hehehe

Dear baby, be it boy or girl, we love you so so much!!! Muahhhhxxxx!

Baby info:
(This one is taken from my baby journal)
Week 12
- Fully formed from top to toe, baby's development has now passed its critical stage.

And this one is from here. If you are pregnant too, you may want to check this website. It's kinda cool.

Your Body
You can barely brush your teeth without gagging so the mere thought of visiting the dentist may make you retch. Still, healthy teeth and gums are especially important during pregnancy as poor dental care can lead to a variety of problems such as pregnancy-related gingivitis and periodontal disease, neither of which sound like any fun at all. Plus, poor dental health during pregnancy has been associated with premature and low-birth-weight babies.

Book an appointment, but be sure to let your dentist know you're expecting, so you can avoid dental X-rays. If you notice strange lumps on your gums, don't worry. It's just another perk of being preggo. Many women develop harmless, non-cancerous oral tumors when pregnant. And just when you were feeling really sexy ...

Your Baby
Baby's face is looking more human as his eyes have moved to the front of his head and his ears are in place. Hooray! Other amazing fetal highlights this week:

Your baby is able to swallow this week and practices on the amniotic fluid he or she floats in. (And you thought baby food was kind of nasty!) And in case you're wondering how your kid can breathe in all that fluid, here's your answer: Fetuses get oxygen from the blood pumped into their bodies by the placenta and don't breathe with their lungs. Mystery solved!

This is kind of gross, albeit fascinating, so feel free to skip ahead: Your baby's intestines are well under way, but they aren't all where you'd expect them to be. Instead of all being locked away in the body cavity, some are dangling on the outside, in the umbilical cord. Ewwww.

Don't forget to put a baby nail file on your registry—your little nugget's finger- and toenails are forming this week. The chin and nose are also becoming more defined.

Junior has doubled in size over the past two weeks and now weighs almost ½ ounce. He's also now around 2 ½ inches long, about the length of your pinky finger or a Vienna sausage, which, in a few months, will be indistinguishable from one another.

We are entering 13 weeks in 3 days time. Welcome Mr. Second Trimester.
:)

Oh, btw, I'm using this to avoid / reduce stretch marks as belly starting to grow bigger. ok tak? Or you guys have any other good products? Kindly share some info k. Thanks. :)
