Weird

Dreams During Pregnancy

Many women report that their dream life shifts into high gear during pregnancy. Interestingly, during the second and third trimesters, you spend less sleep time in rapid eye movement (REM) sleep, the cycle in which most dreams occur. Why, then, all those frequent and vivid dream memories?

It's probably at least in part because you may be interrupting a dream-filled cycle when you wake up to pee, cope with heartburn, leg cramps, restless legs, or a backache, or to shift to a more comfortable position. Waking up during REM sleep makes you more likely to remember your dreams.

It may also be in part that dreams seem so vivid during pregnancy because for most women pregnancy is a time of such heightened emotions — from joy to apprehension and everything in between — but no one really knows for sure.

Talking about dreams, yes, I do have weird dreams lately. Sometimes, it was so vivid I thought it was really happening to me! Crazy kan. But when I read about other women having the same problem about weird dreams or nightmare, I know my hormones are just going up and down at the moment. huhuhu

2 days ago I woke up with short of breath because earlier in my dreams, I was in a classroom and my teachers gave tons of homework to be finished. I was so scared until when I woke up I feel like searching for my school bag. Hahaha. Kelakar jugak. Shared the dream with Kiman, he just laughed. :p

The other night, I dreamed about me went to KLCC by train and was caught cheating the train ticket. (train ticket pun bleh cheat ke skrg?) 2 guards were after me and I hid myself in the toilet. Haha.. Later I got so emotional, scared and lost and later Kiman came and saved me. Thanks a lot, you are my savior although I was in my dream babeh. I woke up from my sleep and I can feel my baby was frantically moving inside. Fuhh! (I can still feel the tense atmosphere like I had in my dream while I'm typing this!)

I still remember some other weird dreams and can picture them in colors! Some are scary, some are adventurous, some are silly and some are like me in wonderland.

My fav one-stop site suggested to jot everything down in a journal, so that we can always remember the dreams and maybe one day share it with our baby about the dreams we had. I have my pregnancy journal but too lazy to write about my dreams. hehe

To all other pregnant ladies out there, just enjoy your sleeps and dreams ok. After all it's ok to sleep a lot during this time of pregnancy cause you yourself are clueless why your body is so tired. Just go to your bed and sleep ZZZZZzzzzZZZZZzzzzzZZZZzzzz and enjoy your weird dreams... :)

O.K that's all. Baby dah mintak makanan ni. :)

Looks like somebody is having a good dream :p
